DJ Kenny Ken

DJ Kenny Ken is one of the few Lao DJs that is breaking ground. Kenny started out getting acquainted with many different styles of music. His family produced many generations of musicians and dancers, so music came to him naturally. From traditional music to modern: Kenny listened and processed many different styles.

In 1999, Kenny Ken finally jumped sail within the DJ culture. He met and was mentored by one of the pioneers of DJ culture, Shawn Phillips. Kenny appeared on many of Shawn Phillips’ radio show “The Vybe” (one of the longest running shows in radio) on 94.9 KZHT of Salt Lake City. Kenny became Shawn’s shadow on every event and you could always find them performing together.

DJ Kenny performed for many large crowds in venues such as Bricks Club SLC, Shaggy’s SLC, Club W SLC, Club Omni Provo, and Club Splash SLC Utah. Kenny Ken has also done Live Radio Mix Show’s with 94.9 KZHT and U92 The Beat of Salt Lake City Utah. He has done many collaborations with well known DJs and producers.Based on his experience, he created the “AZN Invasion” in Salt Lake City Utah. The Azn Invasion was a great success and has left him with a solid fan base.

Kenny is known to master many different styles and plays them all at any venue. Right now, he lives in LA and has played at many private parties and venues such as Spundae, Circus Disco and many others.
