Sabaidee, Welcome to Laomusic.la. Thank you for your interest in Lao Music.

Laomusic site was first officially launched on November 11, 2004 under

Laomusic.nu – Nucleus of Lao Music.

When the server crashed and all data was lost in May 2007, the site was restored and re-launched as

Laomusic.la – Your Source for Lao Music

on August 03, 2007. In celebration of the 6th years anniversary, Laomusic was revamped and got a new slogan as

Laomusic.la – Styles of Lao

as of November 11, 2010.

First of all, I appreciate Lao Music very much and, therefore, my aim is to promote Lao Music as much as possible in its broadest sense. This means I will not create any “contests” between artists or display a certain preference (at least, I try not to show it). Quality is often in the eye of the beholder. Exposure should be possible for any genuine material.

Secondly, I strive to remain independent. Laomusic’s main drive is to promote Lao Music in all diversity without any direct financial ties. Every stream of music deserves its place and this will remain the philosophy of laomusic.la.

Thirdly, I value the rights of all artists and will do my utmost to avoid any copyright infringements or any other violations. Materials on the site have been contributed by the artists themselves as well as from official fan pages and third party sources. If you feel Laomusic.la unintentionally violated those rights please contact me as soon as possible. I will take the appropriate measures and remove any material if necessary. Please include proof of your identity as you do so because I prefer to seperate the artists from the jesters.

Laomusic.la can only prosper with your voluntary contributions. Please send your bios, updates, and info on releases and events. If you have it I will use it!
